Maybe Boyd should sit down and have a drink with Geraldo Rivera. This is reminiscent of Al Copone's vault. But you never know until it's cleaned up.

I'm watching the unveiling, and I think I saw Mike P in the front row. His "sobbing" was disrupting the cermonies, and the tears splashing on the car were rusting it even worse! LOL!

I couldn't resist. I met mike a few months ago, and he has a good sense of humor. I think he will chuckle at that. :-)
Ya know......maybe he was crying because the Schlitz beer was in tin cans, and no longer drinkable? :-(Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 06-15-2007 at 06:59 PM.

I just watched it live, and it's over. There will be broadcasts again tonight. Go to the site in this thread, and click on the local station on the top-right. They will have a listing on the times. There is a window in the middle of the screen that you have to click on for the live feed.

I don't see the link you are talking about, not in IE, Netscape 8.5.2, or Sea Monkey 1.1.2
Can you right click on it and copy it into this thread for me?Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

Think of it as a cross platform between Internet Explorer and Netscape taking the best of both browsers and combining them into one. Mozilla is the original source code for Netscape's browsers........

Here it is:
www.buriedcar.com
Then top right "KOTV.com"
Then the video screen in the middle of the page. When the broadcast starts it will say "live broadcast". Just click on the screen, or it may start playing on it's own. It may start in 20 minutes, since I think that is 10PM there.
Under this E CLIPS section, there is a link to "more e clips" this has some of the earlier broadcasts.
There have also been broadcasts from the link on the top left of the page, so keep an eye on both.Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 06-15-2007 at 08:40 PM.

I have the link but the last clip does not play right now. Guess I'll wait for my local news to show the 30 second clip of the unveiling.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

My own "take" on the car is that it would be a major effort to make it like new. When they opened the trunk, I think there was a piece of the inside structure of the trunk lid laying on top of the contents. It might have been some of the sound deadener, but I don't think so. Some of the cans of beer had floated into the passenger compartment, so the back seat must have come apart. Everything in the trunk was heavily rusted. In a closeup of one headlight, the bezel looked like it was stamped aluminum, and had corroded so bad there were holes. They said they had a hard time getting the hood open because it was "rusted shut". They tried to open the doors, but couldn't, so they pulled a side window out of the track to reach inside. They also said the bottom had fallen out of the glove box, and the contents were on the floor. I'm starting to think the plastic cover ripped because the water got high enough that the bubble of air pulled up on the bag, and tore it. All guesses and assumptions of course.
Merry Christmas ya'll
