Oh sure, my Ex named all of my cars. They were all called "THAT D*** CAR." She had other names too, but I don't have enough asterisks to post some of those.

You mean, "That piece of junk", and P.O.S. doesn't fit? Name it, it's been used before. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

I named my '68 Suburban "Louie" in honor of Louis Chevrolet. It's kind of funny now, that almost 30 years later, they still call it "Louie". :-)
BTW, It's 4 sale. (sigh)

Naming cars was a big thing when I was in high school. The two that I remember most was a '51/'52 Chevy named the "Grey Ghost" and a '54 Chevy with the character leaning on the lamppost twirling a watch chain from Mad magazine painted in the lower right hand corner of the trunk lid. The guy named it T#*t Twiddler.Ken Thomas

Back in the 50's and 60's, a lot of guys named their everyday drivers. Copying the racers, I guess.
My '52 Chevy with a Corvette 6 cyl was "Poison Ivy" until I got rid of the ugly green and painted it blue. Yeah, corny, I know . . . but I was sixteen. When it went blue, it went nameless.Jack
