I don't care what the circumstances are, you just don't drop the hammer on a funny car on a public street!!! It's just plain insane!!! The idiot should be locked up in an asylum, not sued. He was not drag racing, he was just showing off on a public street!!!! He was allegedly the "expert" and should have been aware of the potential consequences of his actions. The majority of the people there had probably never seen a funny car, let alone have an idea of the many things that could go wrong in such an activity.

Horrible as this was , responsibility is on the event organizers and driver . Planning has and will allways be a part of anything . In a event like this the driver could have did a burn out on a small scale and wowed the public. His action to light them up like a prep for a run was wrong on a close public street with spectators so near. For the law suit i believe there should be a cap . I live by safety first and what are the things that could go wrong in a event like this . When i watched the video i seen that he was way over powered for this show .

I gotta agree, Bobby. But I personally feel (just me) that the biggest blame goes to the promoters for even thinking about allowing such an incident to happen. Then to the friver for not thinking "They want me to do what?"!!!

Common sense is gone, along with most all other things, like respect, that once made this a great country and great place to live. It's still the best, but far from what it once was.
