My congrats. I see that as proof that you married the right girl.

I'll make 40 this time, but the first time I married, I did not know how to pick a wife. I sure learned my lesson with that one!!! :-)

I think you summed up why you lasted so long too. You had ups, downs, good times bad times, lean times, etc..........but you never threw in the towel. No one hangs in there anymore. The fact you did is a testimony to you and the Mrs.

You are right about what you say. I have come to believe that the "test" of a marriage is what happens when things go badly! When everyone is fat and happy, there aren't stresses and tough decisions to cope with.

My significant other is a real soldier when times are hard....and we've had those! Everybody does eventually. We've been together for 17 years this month. I'm keepin' her for the duration. :-)

Congratulations! You're a lucky man. My wife and I would have celebrated our 40th in April of this year if cancer hadn't taken her 3 years ago. She was also a keeper!!
