Forty two minutes till Jimmy Shines airtime

Just a reminder that Jimmy Shines car show airs at 10 PM tonight on the learning channel.

Didn't want anyone interested to forget.

So far it's nothing but a flippin' joke..... Think I'll stick with Chop, Cut, Rebuild and Foose's show Can't really imagine Chappouris letting a bunch of unknown and untested work on a car if it wasn't for boob tube $$$$.. I know, I know....it's all in the name of entertainment...

Yup, put that one right up there with Boyd's comedy show.... Only thing I've see the show lacking is some dweeb like Mikey on the Orange County show.

I couldn't agree more. What dumb*** Producer said, "Hey, I have an idea, let's put two females on the team, WHO HAVE NEVER WORKED ON A CAR BEFORE ??"

The only guy that has any skill is Littleman, (Dave) who showed up late. He has built some pretty cool rods, and is a machinist by trade.

    Hollywood strikes again.

    Nice gold coupe though.

You didn't miss anything Bill. I personally was very disappointed. They concentrated more on one girls fingernails than on car stuff.

I may watch one more time to see if it improves, but that will be it.

....oh no Don, I "forgot about it" until you reminded me. So I DID watch it. And to think I thanked you for reminding me! {j/k ya!}.... Yep it was pretty bad, wasn't it? Although they briefly showed a black roadster that they'll work on next week {or should I say break their finger nails on next week?} & I'd like to check it out. But, I sure wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. I wish they'd just do a car show & show nothing but how to build the car! But I did like one thing that Shine said which was; "when you build a part ask yourself if the quality needs to be an 8 or can it be a 2?" {an 8 being looking perfect & a 2 being just so-so}. Cuz I know that sometimes I stress over something not being done that well & it's something that NO one will ever see!....... Bill

I saw it...just another "reality" show show set in a different background (socal speed shop).

Now, can someone explain to me if you needed a spacer that thick to get the starter depth correct:

    1. How in the heck did the engine start in the first place.

    2. How could you miss it in the initial assembly?
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Hard Shine? Bleeeeeeeeeech! A couple of the "apprentices" needed help installing gauges in a dash - when the holes were already cut?

Do we need a whole series devoted to: "I'm Jimmy Shine, and I'm a badass?"

Cotterpin's "Elvis" show last night was just about as bad. Boyd looks like he's 40 lbs heavier than last year, and Jo is starting to look like the Botox queen. I ran screaming from the room.

Not a good night for hotrodders.

Well shoot! I forgot all about it and missed it. Sounds like I didn't miss much...

Keep in mind, folks, shows like that aren't made for people like us They're made for people that don't hardly know which end of a hotrod is the front...
