HOO BOY! I go out of the country for a couple of weeks (without internet access) and come back to find a big manure slinging contest going on between two of the guys whose postings I enjoy most!

Personally, I'm almost always ticked off at somebody about something, so I can understand differences of opinion. Also, I do a very lousy job of keeping my cool. I then say or write stuff that I immediately regret, and I don't always have an "edit button" to save my sorry tail. Am I that much different different from anybody else?

I don't want either of these guys to bail. They both have so very much to offer that it would be a kick in the shorts to CHR to lose either (much less both) of them.

A major appeal of CHR is that people here are civilized, and we all know that most other forums ain't.

    So, this, too, shall pass.

    I hope.

Yeah, with Scooter, it's hard to tell. If we ever get him to graduate to larger motors (or even better to the Blue Oval) we'll really be accomplishing something.

I think it would be cool to drop 2 or 3 sleeves inside each hole of a BBC & make a 265 out of it.

Kewl!!! Just got my pump back from Barnes last week, sent it in for a check and rebuild... I have a tank and lines, still need a 351W pan......Not sure who's I want to buy,,,or maybe fab up an aluminum one???? Trying to get the engine as low as possible in the Ranchero, losing that big long oil pump and dual sump pan frees up a lot of room!!!!! Any thoughts on a dry sump pan for it? Who's do you use, Pat????

Barnes has a chart on pump speeds and pressures... With a 5 stage, I know you can run it a lot slower...Think it also takes into consideration how many scavenge lines you are running, bearing clearances, and a bunch of other stuff... I wouldn't even take a guess where to start on a BBC!!!! I always just call them up and have a chat with one of the Techs....

Not sure what I'm going to run for a tank, I have a good Peterson out of our last late model, but I would really like one that was a little taller and skinnier... If I ever get back to the Ranchero (just took on another project today) I'll have to see what I use and don't use....
