Boats can be fun as long as you don't own them! When I was younger my dad owned a 1954 55 foot Chris Craft. Three screws and enough power to pull three skiers. Of course gas was cheap then, and even if you were a good mechanic yourself they weren't cheap to own or maintain. We got rid of it after he passed. As sad as it was to see it go, it had to go, it made a big hole in the water.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Dave, I'm with you there. I've had my 2 great boating days.

I dream about the 38 foot twin cruiser but reality sinks in when I consider that it wouldn't be at all hard to burn $900 worth of diesel on a weekend cruise.

Although the streetrod is fast approaching the black hole in the garage. A couple weeks ago I spent hundred bucks at the auto parts store and I can't remember what I got. At least that's what the bank statment says.
