When that hulk is dug out, everything below the surface is going to be gone. It also looks like it's broken in half or collapsed in front of the rear doors. My advice: Run screeeeeeeaming away from that wreck.

- The bullet holes are cool, though . . .

Get it out of there any way as there might be something on it someone could use and check the area around it very good as most of it could be there. Jeff

The only hope for that is about ten grand worth of metal working tools, and a year of full time labor.
It would be cool to see it saved, but if he spent $5K on a good starter car, that year of time would produce a lot more results..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

I'd jack up the car, save the bullet holes and recycle the rest. . .Jack

There is an upside - like Jack said -
REAL bullet holes rather than those stick-on imitations.
I admire the ambition but . . .There is no limit to what a man can do . . . if he doesn't mind who gets the credit. (Ronald Reagan)

I think the best use for that rig has already happened, take some artsy pictures of it and sell them at the next swap meet. Be sure to use black & white film!
I agree with others, better pass on this one. As others have siad find a running or near running car that does not require too much body work. Mechanical work is way easier to learn, and finding someone willing to work on restoration/custom body work when you realize you don't know how to do it yourself is very difficult these days. Not to mention very expensive. Figure $75 per hour shop rate for hundreds or hours. Plus materials.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
Thank you Roger. .
