    Bridge collapse in Minnesota

Man, that had to be a horrible experience. The news is full of images of the horrible event.

My second wife was always afraid of bridges and I used to laugh at her, putting her fear down to her Philippine rearing and old taboos. Now, I am not so sure. I can just hear her and her sister now. "See we always told you so".

My heart goes out to those who were killed and to those who were injured.

My step brother crosses that thing every day....Called him last night to check, he had decided to go to work early yesterday, crossed the bridge and about 5:15PM on his way home... About one hour before it collapsed!!!! I guess it pays to go to work early!!! If it hadn't been under construction, Greg said there probably would have been about 5 times that many cars on it when it fell!!!!
