outlaw track, still fun! spokanes big race

well it wasnt a bad turnout for the two days we ran out little alkie/nitro race this weekend named <the nitro extravaganza 2> instead of <the ahra world finals>. had probably 3 thousand which is good for us on each day plus a ton of racers. got some of the goodguys floppers to come and play. speed sport cuda, terry cap and roland leong in the bubble up firebird car used to be driven by 240 gordie bonin, kris krabill, bucky austin was there in his old 70's flopper, a camaro in which ron capps has driven in the good series. the crazy horse mustang was there. and a ton of the local tri state alkie guys and door cars. sure makes me wish mine was going ! working in tech was cool got to meet terry capp and roland leong got to b/s with him about the hawaiian dragsters of years ago. another local racer/ friend offered me a driving job in a rail, said hes been watching me for a few years and thought i was "sharp" in tech <even tho i only been there about 2 months? > and around a car. also got to help family friend work on his alkie fiat altered still got some bugs to workout but were getting there, so i guess it was fun! pics soon to follow what are some of your guys attitudes towards helping other racers? when my car was out id stroll around and help anybody that needed helping some guys do some dont.

Sounds like a great time and to meet all those big old timers must have been a hoot.

I'm all for helping out racers in need as it seems is universal among the extended family at my local track. Certainly there have been plenty of times I've been helped out of a pickle by casual acquaintances and total strangers alike.
