1,100HP on the street
Just got back from my last cat show for this year(tranny has to be rebuilt and saw a 1934 ford coupe with a 502 marlin engine with a 6-71 street blower topped with home made injectors running(get this)a shot of 200HP NOS cheater system that he claims is putting out 1,100hp and he uses it on the street. Never been raced. Doesn't sound over aggressive, actually sounds tame excepty for the whine on the blower, but when he took off he actually did a wheelie for about 200 ft right down the middle of the street and the back tires(mickey Thompson) 32x14.5x15 actually hooked up with very little smoking. Really and incrediable sight. With just the blower he says he gets about 11 mpg, with the nitro, wouldn't care to guess. Made me want to call under my seat when I pulled out and everyone was shouting light them up.Probably would have layed a pretty good stretch but with my tranny slipping I just shook my head. Thank god for the bad trannyKeep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

thread is worthless with out pics. I am sure most are exaggerating hp numbers and if not there probably just driving around the corner and calling it a street car??? If its like that then I have a buddy that drove a fuel dragster aound the block back in the day ,so I guess thats a couple thousand horses on a "street car",lol.Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 09-02-2007 at 06:10 PM.

You would have to spin the blower so fast to make a lot of boost and it would "super heat" the air.
I would guess he is using the N20 as an intercooler and it would be 75- 100 shot.
I could see 800 to 900 hp.
You did not say pump or race gas but either way I would find it hard to believe.

That kind of horsepower is (much more actually) attainable on pump gas and streetable. It won't hook on the street but it would be drivable. I can't say if that particular combination would make that kind of power though."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

I've learned to only believe horsepower claims when they are backed by a dyno sheet and complete specs on the engine. I guess for me it would come down to one of those, "it's your story, tell it any way you want" deals...... The first time we rented Andy and his chassis dyno to come to our fall show, there was a bunch of 600-800 horse engines that could only record about 300 on the dyno!!!! Must of been a bad air day I guess.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

well i will go out on a limb and say if it was a 502ZZ it should make with out the blower 500 hp know that not to the back wheels but with the blower and the right parts and NOS it should be at 800hp easy now i have one or two i want to see get on the wheel dynoIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

I would agree 1,100 hp on a 6-71 BBC street motor is a bit of a stretch, but big hp on pump gas is possible."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
