I'm amazed, they actually picked the right guy for the job, I thought the Producers might sway them to make some stupid decision, but they picked Dave, who really was the most talented IMO. The other two guys were into Saturns and stuff like that, but Dave is a hot rodder who builds cars more in keeping with what SoCal does.

I love his Model A coupe, "Deaths Doorstep". Just an exciting car to look at with it's multi carbed Hemi and dragstrip look. I hope he does well in California. Big adjustment for an Ohio dude to relocate his family clear out there, for him and the family.

I couldn't stay away through all the bullbleep, but I had it recorded and watched it this morning.

I thought they might pick Richie. I hope losing doesn't send him back to the gangs. The other guy had way too much attitude to work in a shop environment - and Pete isn't likely to build a ricer.

That show was filmed some time ago. I wonder if Dave is still there.

Someone mentioned that he was the only "Apprentice" who was at the recent grand opening of the new SoCal Speed Shop in (I think) Arizona. They felt that was a giveaway that he was the winner, since the other two weren't there. And, since that grand opening was only a little while ago, I imagine he is still with them.

I understand he has a whole bunch of stuff in Ohio to sell off or move, so he probably has been given some time to wrap up his affairs before actually coming aboard.

I was glad that Dave the Hot Rodder won, not one of the ricers. SoCal is a hot rod shop, not a ricer shop.
