I know all of you are wondering about.....
Bill's (Mrmustang) Son, and how he faired since the surgery. With Bill's permission I am posting his reply to a PM I sent him inquiring about his boys recovery.
The readers digest version:12 hours of surgery on Monday, had him sitting up on Tuesday, walking on Wednesday, walking more on Thursday,Friday they had him doing steps, today he came home at 1pm.Having a little difficulty adjusting to being back at the house, some minor pain from the hardware they installed (fused his spine L1 thru t10 with assorted Titanium screws, brackets, and rods which he can feel when he lays down), going to start weening him off the perkosets(sp) starting tomorrow afternoon (hey it pays to have been an EMT in a past life), hoping to have him off the meds completely by this time next week. Feel free to make a post with the information, I just don't have the mental bandwidth to do it myself right now as my opening day for the new MAACO is this Monday and I do not have a firm grasp on 65% of the items I need to.MAACO Corp employees tell me the next 4 weeks will be a complete blur and I will not remember half it.Thanks for asking.
Sincerely,
Bill S.
Bill must feel like a one armed paperhanger right now, but I felt everyone would want to know the current status.

Prayers going out for you, your family & your son, Bill. I'm glad he is doing as well as he is. It's amazing what can be done these days."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
"LIVE" your life like you could die tomorrow.

Any of us who are Parents know how helpless and concerned Bill must be over this problem his Son has. All of us would take the pain and suffering ourselves instead of having our Children go through it if that were possible, but unfortunately, it isn't.
With modern advancements in medicine, it is wonderful what can be done to fix the human body. It sounds like Bills Son has really been through the mill operation-wise, and all of us hope this is the final remedy for his ills.

I, too, will continue to hold them all in my thoughts. I'm glad to hear that he is doing reasonably well.
