    ultimate halloween prop

its that time of year again and if anyone remembers we are the halloween decorating fanatics. well my wife thinks i have snapped for sure now. if anyone recalls my banshee dragster idea that fell through. ive had a brainstorm to use the old front dragster clip and build an old style front engine dragster. at the point as pictured ive got 10.44 wrapped up in it, and for another 20.00 it should be complete. with motor, hilborn injector set up, and straight tube headers. front axle is a norditrac exersise machine, and 2 old bike tires. and the rears are off the anglia just for the night. it will be piloted by a skeleton wheels up drag racing my skeleton powered riding mower. ive got a scary side for big kids and a funny side of the yard for litte kids, this will be funny side. keep in mind this is slapped together in about 5 hours. i will post progress shots and plan to have it done in 2 weeks tops.

You should put one of my little critters in there. It's a sheetmetal body with steel legs covered with flamed plastic grocery bags. http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../tin%20spider/

Prop only? Not a runnable Piece?
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

nice spider zero, and no it is not a runable peice. just a bunch of scrap metal laced into a dragster front clip. i will admit its got my mind turning the more i look at it though, but right now ive got 2 other hot rods to concentrate on. i do miss my dragster and have since the second i sold it, but yes again someday i will get another one.

If nothing else, an old 20 hp Briggs and Stratton needs to find its way into that. The kiddies would love it. AND... just think how much fun the BIG kiddies would have.. say in a deserted parking lot?

here is an update on the prop, the engine block is cut from an old metal shelf, i did a lot more work on this today but this pic is 2 days old. i borrowed a pair of mickey thompson vintage valve covers tonight for it. it will be finished by wednesday and i will throw a few up here to see.
