    That baby is really slammed!

It ain't for driving except at the circus by the clowns, uh except it does not have enough clearance to get into the ring.

I particularly like the yellow plexiglass windshield. Nice huh? What a waste of a good flathead engine.

Yup, what a waste!!!! Probably a real hot rodder someplace could have made proper use of that old flattie, and those wire wheels with the wide whites!!!!

Another question???? Do you have to haul one of these things in a rat trailer pulled by a rat toter????? These rat rod rules keep confusing me!!!!!!

And to add insult to injury, the rear wheels are OEM steel. Did this builder think he was "cute" or throwing something out there for a good laugh?

As strange as it seems, some of these cars have become the trailer queens of the rat rod world. Meant to be more for shock value than actual driving. Sort of like those showcars from the '60's that had no pistons in the engine, etc.

Seems ludicrous to me to build any car for the sole purpose of pushing or driving it only onto a show field to display, be it rat rod or show rod.

That's why there's a soft top. Peel it back when you're driving so you can see! (LOL)

Sorry guys, but in this part of the world in mid October I start thinking about the winter's work in the shop, and sleds!!!!!!!

That's a huge amount of time and fabrication work for something unuseable. Of course, you know some fool on Ebay would pay ten grand for it.

I'm waiting for one of these guys to hang the body from the bottom of the frame like the goodyear blimp. Lessee, some road grader wheels, helicopter turbine engine, highway department yellow paint and Whamo! A show stopper!

    Question

Can anybody tell me what the appeal is in that thing? Honestly, really, I mean it, I don't know why anyone would be interested in paying for something like that. I mean I can get into a mechanically sound rod and it would be a lot of fun to beat around in one. But this is just so out there that I am lost.

I have never felt that I was a snob, maybe I am and just can't see it, I think every body ought to be able to drive any car they want, but the optimum word here is drive. I know there is the trailer queen vs driver issue out there, I own a trailer and I will use it if I want to , but, come on now, it seems fairly obvious to me that this thing cannot and should not be driven.

So is it a piece of art?

    confused by it all...
