How about IFS's?
I really wanted to go with the C4 Corvette components front end but the folks that made the front end, Progressive Automotive, explained that there just wasnt enough clearance. Darn!
So, I found that the folks at Street Rod Engineering had a upgrade from the standard Mustang II IFS that would fit my truck. Ultra-ride true coil over. Anyone have any input on the Ultra-ride? Pro's or Con's?

The Ultra Ride is good stuff. Quality components and not too bad on price. Looks like you have a good base to work off of with the truck.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Ok Uncle Bob, I like your quote, "I enjoy anything that turns money into noise.
".
Its best describes what I like the most. I used to think its was specific cars when I was younger. But now, I realliize what my all time favorite thing is, in this existance; the sound. Blown 13 to 1 Big Blocks, fuel injected flat heads with zoomeys, and over-cammed small blocks are what drives me. For some its baseball, politics, or thier appearance. For me its definitely the sound. I could drive any make or model as long as it feels, looks, and sounds like power. And to think; I was once told it was a sickness. HA!
Come on Bob! What else do you have in your fashion line?

Patience son, these are better over time. But just so you learn the players, Pops is also very into fitness .Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Top chop?
Taking opinions on whether to chop top? Maybe 2-3 inches. I chopped the top on my 69 and raked the windshield. Lots of sectioning. I think the 36 would be a much easier job for me because of its shape and the fact it has flat glass all the way around. What do you think?

I vote NO on the chop top. The 36' looks too good already. On some cars its mandatory (32-34 Fords), but your pickup is just right the way it is. My opinion.

I like the look of the 37's too. The fenders are bigger allowing for a lower ride height without tire rub. Am I right?
I notice that a lot of the suspension kits are dubbed 37-42? But it looks like they retained the same frame from 34-42?
I decided to go with the Street Rod Engineering set up. Tom seems very knowledgeable and willing to spend time talking to you. He's already steered me away from a couple mistakes. Now if I could get help with deciding on wheels. I like the newest fad....a little. Low profile on big wheels. Just not to the extreme that some people go. I'm thinking 4.5 inches of tire above and below rim on front. And maybe 5.5 inches on back. I'm having a h### of a time deciding. Ive swapped out different tire heights for a couple days now and just seem to be getting no where. I'm thinking 24 inches of tire on the front on 15's and 27 inches of tire on back with 17's.
I like your wheels FLH!
