Forget the MGB. Get her a Jag XKE, 4.2 L dohc 6, BRG convertible. Guarantee she'll keep it longer than she'll keep you. If you're smart you'll marry her then you can have both.
If you've got a lot of green stuff stashed, get her a BRG DB5. Better investment for the long haul.Bob

Oh sure, ladies love sportscars. Put a little something like this under her Xmas tree and I can guarantee you she will think you are really "special."
("special ed, that is)

As a body shop manager I saw plenty of MGBs go to the crusher. Get her a '69-'76 TR6. Something you can both love and enjoy.

well i'm really bummed about the wagon projectI was all for it and thought it would of been cool. but she don't like wagons not even the old classics
then she says to me "Do you remember that old red car we saw at the gas station i liked?" and i said yeah "I would want something like that or a big lifted truck with big tires" well the car we saw was a late 50's red MGB convertable.

Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
