I agree, but also take out a rather large term life insurance policy on her first.

As a body shop manager I saw plenty of MGBs go to the crusher. Get her a '69-'76 TR6. Something you can both love and enjoy.

well i'm really bummed about the wagon project I was all for it and thought it would of been cool. but she don't like wagons not even the old classics then she says to me "Do you remember that old red car we saw at the gas station i liked?" and i said yeah "I would want something like that or a big lifted truck with big tires" well the car we saw was a late 50's red MGB convertable.

Yeah, my bride went through that phase a few years back. Ended up getting a BRG Spitfire. The key was I told her I'd learned my lesson on Brit cars many moons ago and wouldn't work on it for her. After having to pay several times to have those annoying, niggling, totally frustrating series of problems that will inevitably happen fixed all the joy was out of it for her.....................and on went the for sale sign.

As a variation on the old boat saying; "The two happiest days in a Brit car owners life is the day they buy the car, and the day they sell it!"

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

I don't know, NSRA, take a look at the custom wiring in my old ford! Even Lucus used better connectors!

Forget the MGB. Get her a Jag XKE, 4.2 L dohc 6, BRG convertible. Guarantee she'll keep it longer than she'll keep you. If you're smart you'll marry her then you can have both.

If you've got a lot of green stuff stashed, get her a BRG DB5. Better investment for the long haul.

Oh sure, ladies love sportscars. Put a little something like this under her Xmas tree and I can guarantee you she will think you are really "special."

    ("special ed, that is)
