The tall deck blocks are the 366,427 blocks.
They where found in straight trucks,grain-trucks,school bus's.
I don't know of any tall deck 454 blocks.
Yes,the intake,push rods are longer.
The block it's self is .400 taller or 10.20 tall vs. the 396,402,427,454 or 9.80 tall.
I have built a bunch of the "poor mans" stroker big block Chevy with the tall deck block.
A sonic test is needed.
Bore 4.350 X stroke 4.500.
These make a 535.
