Don't have much hardware left. Had a Winchester 30-30, but sold it several years back. It was a special edition that I picked up in 1970, and a friend just had to have it, so I let it go. Only rifles I now are a Browning semi automatic 22 and a Savage bolt action 22 that my dad bought new in 1917. Still have my dad's Winchester Model 12 12 guage edshotgun that he got as a gift from a friend who owned boatyard. Seemed my dad was able to get him several sheets of copper back in 1943 when copper sheets were near impossible to get. (My dad worked for the US Army for 35 years at Aberdeen Proving Grounds).
I have a number of pistols that I have had for many years. I have a Standard Sportking 22 auto, two Walther PPK's (matched set) and a Walther 1917 complete with silencer. (My dad took that one off of a guy back in 1935 when he was the town police chief). Also have an original Colt single action Army revolver (aka Peacemaker) in working order, and an 1861 Navy revolver. I also have a new single action Ruger Blackhawk. Been thinking about ordering a reproduction single action Colt Hartford "Buntline" revolver (45 cal.) .
Obviously I favor pistols over rifles. Must be the influence of all those westerns I grew up with.Last edited by mopar34; 01-27-2008 at 05:17 PM.
Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

"303 revolver"? Well, not quite, but we do have a .303 British single shot pistol! Martini-Henry falling block action with a 5"barrel. Kills on both ends! It's called a "Khyber Pass Martini" and was made in 1889. Awesome ball of flame when fired at night.

My personal tastes are a bit older when it comes to firearms and such.
Such as my personal favorite (and currently for sale), a 1750's Rev War Dutch(German) Fusil Musket.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
