Does anyone know how to shrink photo size in order to attach into post. I got one to work in the test area but I think my camera resolution is set too high and saves them at about 1.2 KB.

I wasn't sure where to post this either

I came across that but mine all seem to be around 1-1.3 MB, I said KB by accident. I just thought there might be a way to shrink them like when they are sent in an email. I don't computer so good .

I might just have to turn my camera down.

A good size is 680x510 which comes out to 250kb

I just use the method given to me by "Itoldyouso"...."Right click on the picture you want to resize. It will come up with lots of choices, like "preview" or "edit" etc.

You want to left click on the word "edit". A new screen will appear with the picture you selected covering the whole screen, pretty much. At the top of the page will be bars and one of them reads "image", right click on it, and you will get a drop down with one of the choices being " stretch/skew". Left click on that, and a box will open up that has a "horizontal" and "vertical" section. It will read 100%. Change that figure to whatever percent you want, like if you want it to be half the size, type 50% in both boxes. then click on Ok, and the picture will reappear, only at half size, or whatever size you chose. If that is the size you want, left click on the close out X on the right top of screen, and a box will appear saying do you want to keep the changes you made. Click on yes, and you should be set."
I usually keep the original name of the photo but add a number to represent the percent of change. For example .. Tbucket 40.jpg"

I find that using 40 to 50 percent is usually gets me in the range I need to be in. Sometimes it's just trial and error until you get the size you need. You can always delete the ones you don't want.

This method can also be used to create avatar's, but the percent of reduction may have to be greater. The actual process should take you less than the read time once you get the hang of it.
