as far as i thought Bama was not a " you must pass emissions test before you drive a vehicle " state .. a fellow yesterday at a gas station asked me what year my pinto was .. i replied a 73 .. he said today is Wednesday ,,how are you able to legally drive it ,, in Marshal county where i am from you can not drive a non catalyzed or antique vehicle except to a weekend car show or in a parade ,, Marshal County is basically Guntersville .. Tennessee river .. large lake and nice i guess ritzy properties .. i told the fellow i had never heard of that .. we dont have that in Madison county .. is that something that can be regulated county to county ? will i get a smog ticket if i drive to Guntersville ? i told him you can vote out of office the same ( %#$^%# ) ( i cant get political ) people who moved here from other states and brought their green earth thinking with them ..Georgia was once a part of the south .. i dont think so anymore ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

I wonder if that Marshall County guy was referring to vehicles running "Antique" plates? In many states (not sure about GA) if you choose to register as "antique" you're declaring that it's a collector vehicle, not to be used for normal day to day transportation, and in many of those states that you'll only use it to & from shows or display events or parades, and it's a State rule, not County by County. Some of the "collector car" insurance companies have similar rules, and you're not supposed to use the vehicle for a trip to the store or for "joy riding" apart from to & from shows. Pays to understand the rules and register/insure accordingly.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

things you need or not need to know about HOSS429 .. ( there may be a bit of TMI involved )
1. i hate tailgaters .. i will brake slam a tailgater in a second .. i will turn on my turn signal and keep going just to make you back off ,, one morning a thousand years ago as i was heading to work a set of blue lights began flashing behind me ,, i stopped as soon as i could only to see the cop was talking to a car that was 3 inches from my bumper and i never knew it ..
2. i drive my pinto in decent weather with my left arm hanging out the window in an effort to direct as much air as possible into my face as i dont have AC . i will pull in my arm at every vehicle i meet ,, a fellow i know did that as well but one time he did not pull in his arm and one of those big trucks with the side mirrors that stuck out three feet met him and nearly tore his arm off .. it just separated it from his shoulder and folded it back without tearing it off .
3 . i have a thing about wasting water .. we only have all that was ever made when the earth was created ,, same as land .. but anyway as i drink up my 15 or 18 sudwiesers a day i have to let out a few as well .. i dont go to my toilet every time i need relief .. wasting water again thang ,, i mostly stand on my front porch or usually at my garage door and let it fly .. on more than one occasion i have realised that i was not the only within view of what i was doing .... slow day in HOSSVILLE ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

finally i found a new to me corolla .. after 3 mothns of gregslist and fakebook looking sunday i rode up to my local toyota dealer and saw this car sitting on the lot but it had a SOLD sticker sitting on it ,, Blahh .. today i go back up there and the same car is still sitting there and i inquire about it and the previous purchaser backed out .. someone from Ohio they said ..i said what is the cash drive away price .. 8000 $ .. i jumped all over it ,, 170 thousand miles on the meter but that did not bother me ,, mine had 220 grand when it was totaled and ran perfect ,, this car is in even better shape than mine was .. ity`s an 010 with an automatic trans ,, i got tired of swapping gears ,, the suzuki is a wonderful machine but is a gas drinker and will become a backup driver just ahead of the pinto .. i finally got a rearend in the pinto and got it to crank when cold by hot wiring the coil to a toggle switch ..iv`e gone from car poor to car rich in a matter of a few hours ..this thing is like new ,, i think it was driven one tine 7 times around the world ,iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

so i guess another good thing about having these cheap fly by night insurance companies is that victims such as myself can never get in touch with the offenders insurer .. my wreck was 3 months ago and i have not heard a word from anyone .. i`m very displeased with my provider even though i only had liability ,, i`ve been with them for over 40 years and an agent is a relative of mine ,, i have called the offending persons company 2 dozen times and have waited about a week while elevator music plays .. i`m nearly at the point of hiring legal service ,, i d[d not want to go that route .. i admit i F`D up by not going to the hospital .. i had blood on my face and had a mild concussion for two weeks after but i was in shock at the moment ,, i was picking up pieces of my car while traffic was whizzing by at 70 mPH and other witnesses telling me to stop .. go to the general and save some time .. yeah but not my time !!!!iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?
Thanks Bill, It seems to be working better already. Nolan
