That MAP sensor is listed on eBay for $164.29 so your $250 R&R cost is less than an hour of a dealership shop time, specific to '07-'09 models -

Looking at the picture it can easily be tucked into a tight spot where it can be overlooked but it doesn't look to be made for inside the intake. Are you sure that your car doesn't use a MAF in the duct just ahead of the throttle body? The MAP sensor is the input for a Speed Density type EFI, and the '07 to '09's may have changed to an air flow input which is more common on cars today.

Yep, it's one or the other. Mass flow control, which has become the preferred method, or speed density control. Some vehicles may also have a barometric pressure sensor, but I'd say you don't have a MAP sensor. This guy on the 'zuki forum came to the same conclusion, had an error code for MAF, decided he wanted to check the MAP sensor and determined he didn't have one....

First glance I thought it was a murder of crows! That gives a whole new meaning to the name "shoe tree". Probably fun to chuck a pair tied together into the tree, seeing how high they can go, but it's gonna be a chore to get them down some day.

I've been there a time or two. Drove old 66 east from California in 62 and and from the east in 64. There is still quite a bit of it left in Arizona and Missouri. Have fun on your return.

I've been to Winslow Az. a few times on that highway! Great restaurant in Historic hotel there called La Posada.
