see that thing coiled up in the middle of the pic laying against that tree .. scared the crap outta me when i first glanced over the rail of the bridge and spotted it .. i thought it was the biggest snake i had ever seen .. that log is 2 feet around .. turns out it was just a funny shaped limb from some other tree ..

nice stuff to brag about .. most times i dont care for the twenty`s wheels but they can look good on some things i suppose

i dont share streetfires fondness for elmo .. you know paper is a member here but he does`nt post anymore ( thankfully ) .. this car is driven to church nearly every sunday

moving right along with my new home .. actually this is/was the oldest still active rural mailing address in alabama up untill a few years ago when a tornado knocked it down .. you can see the log and mud cabin main structure that was built in 1836 .. some of the timbers i got and will incorporate them in my new home .. the timbers are from the mid & late 1700`s judging by the grouth rings .. i also found some clipping of news papers possibly from the civil war or at least shortly after .. old new papers were stuffed into cracks to keep out weather and critters in poor folks homes ..( i wish someone had`nt posted such BIG pictures )

wish i`d bought this one .. 440 4 speed car that a friend of mine is " doing " .. i need to go get an update on this one .. this pic is about two years old .. found sitting in an old cotton gun ..

super straight little 289 comet iv`e been trying to get forever .. one owner car .. had been sitting halfway in an old building for 20 years .. thats why the front sheet metal is so rusted .. it cranks and runs like new .. " gunna paint it some day " says the owner .. that will never happen .. he just enjoys it sitting in his yard and having people stop to ask about it .. it`s a conversation trap..

well .. i asked those questions about a year and a half ago and finally now have perhaps found the answer to # 3 , ( i`m still living with # 1 & 2 ) .. about a year ago one of my docs did some blood work and found i had a low white blood count yet at the time i was in pretty good condition so i brushed it off and did`nt see him any more .. recently i developed a few infections ( unirary and fungal ) ..took medicines for both with no success .. then remembered the low white blood count find and looked it up and found my current ailments # 1 & 2 on the symptems list as well as terminal anemia ( weakness ) and arm and joint pain .. mild fever ( which may explain why i wear a coat if it`s colder than 80 degrees ... i will be seeing my doc soon and hope my blood can be restored .. incedently i did have an overactive thyroid 30 years ago and had to have a couple radiation treatments and then take medicine for about a year to fix quess what ... a low white blood count .. got to get me fixed up so i can fix up some old cars ..

artificial aging at its best .. i`ve heard of guys painting old looking paint jobs on some stuff but this is the first one i`ve seen in person .. looked really good

some work bench .. i say keep the carb and wires and throw the truck away .. this buddy of mine always has projects going and mostly does them outside in the drive .. i`ve told him several times he could utalise my shop but i know how he feels about imposing on someone .. i built dozens of cars under a tree limb before i finally built a shop .. just feels better doing it at home
