a good short read about a once local car .. mustang monthly .. the original owner once gave three astronauts in huntsville a ride in this car and afterwards they said that ride scared them much more than the trip to the moon .. the car would do an honest 160 mph at one time ..
a little more can be read about it in this thread

When I'm feeling a little low I just let my #2 son take me for a ride in my Willys. By the time we get back I'm fully wide awake and thankfull to still be in one piece. My memory is sharp too as I can easily remember to transfer some funds to the tires, brakes and gas accounts.41 Willys 350 sbc 6-71 blower t350, 9in, 4 link

this is an unsolicited testimonial for gaterbite plumbing repair kits .. these things do miracles .. no soldering,, gluing ,, threading,, no anything but cutting the old pipe and snapping them in place .. works on anything round as long as the size is correct ..i have fixed numerous broken pipes under my mobile home with these things ..i dont have a clue how or why they work .. just that they do ..probably along the same principal as most automotive couplings today .. they remain loose and somewhat flexible but dont leak a drop ..

why men should write advice columns
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear John,
I hope you can help me. The other day I set off for work, leaving my husband in the house watching TV. My car stalled and then broke down about a mile down the road, and I had to walk back to get my husband's help. When I got home, I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter!
I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbor's daughter is 19. We have been married for 10 years. When I confronted him he broke down and admitted they had been having an affair for the past six months. He won't go to counseling, and I'm afraid I am a wreck and need advice urgently. Can you please help?
Sincerely,
Sheila

Dear Sheila,
A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debri in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump is faulty causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.
I hope this helps,
