Racer's rheumatiz today??
I think after watching yesterday's NA$CAR race at Las Vegas, there are going to be some drivers like Tony 'Smoke' Stewart and Jeff Gordon to have a problem getting out of bed without help this morning. Smoke, especially after major wall hits two days in a row. He climbed out of his car real slow and painfully. Kurt Busch might also be a bit sore, but for sure didn't hit anywhere near as hard.
Couldn't believe how much damage that there was to Gordon's car - literally ripped the front end off of it. I was PO'd that he didn't take full responsibility for the crash tho(said he was at least "partially at fault" after walking out of the care center) - he just plain overdrove his car!!! Maybe he will (maybe??) after seeing reruns be a bit more humble.
Sure am glad that NA$CAR has mandated the safety devices. I suspect that the Hans device kept Gordon alive, at least.
Congratulations though to Carl Edwards - good show. Nice run, Jr, but at least look and act like it was a good one - you're the one that burned the tires up, no one else.Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

They are going to be sore, that was some nasty hits!!!! The emphasis on safety since Earnhardt died is really paying off!!! Was a good race, and always good to see the Fords lead the way to the checkers!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Those things have got about as many stock production parts in them as I do. The ruling and regulation has gone way too far. They should have been told where to go when they started dyno testing engines. If the parts used are legal as far as I'm concerned it's everybody elses tough luck when I can squeeze out 5 or 10 more hp than everyone else. Now they even wind tunnel cars, and make everyone conform to roughly the same templates. Where's you brand identification or bragging rights now? Maybe they should have to run what the factory produces, sure would eliminate restrictor plates and cut speeds and expenses back to where it might be conceivable for the little guys to have a shot. Do you think Kulwicki would even have a prayer today? Hank

I heard the Ford did not pass inspection. Cheaters never prosper.
In fairness to Gordon,
1) Claimed he was forced to take the low side where he did not handle due to people ahead missing the restart.
2) He paid the full price for his error, and then some IMO.
I thought it was a pretty good race all in all .............

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
