    55 Gasser Progress

I got the wiring finished, including the MSD box and ignition. Yesterday, I pulled out the cutoff plunger and got 12V to the car for the first time! It's a small step, but for me, seemed to bring the car alive. It was cool to see the gauges stand up, and sit there in the darkened garage looking at the dash lights! Silly? I don't care. And I think I'm only a few weeks away from firing the engine for the first time.
I have gotten much more advise here than I have been able to give. So, thanks to one and all for the help. When I first got onto this site, some comments by the more experienced helped me to focus on what I really wanted to do. Hence, the trade of the Model A for the 55 Chevy. (Thanks Bob P.) And now, I'm really glad I made the change.
Saturday, the wife and I are going down to the March Meet at Famoso. And, dare I say it, I may even get my car down there this year for test and tune! Maybe just because I'm picking up my car hauler today - gotta justify buying it anyway!

Fun, isn't it? Don't feel bad, we all sit there and play with the controls and watch things light up and daydream.

    How about some pictures?

Good luck in getting your car there....Which weekend is the March Meet at Famoso, I'd like to go this year. Heck, maybe I'll be able to drive my truck.

Don, I'll get pictures, as soon as I get the camera fixed. Probably just have to buy a new one. Chuck, March Meet is this weekend, tomorrow, Sat, Sun.

Guess I'm guilty as charged... Heck, I thought this was normal activity in a Hot Rod Garage!!!!! My Ranchero has half a frame and a mockup engine and I've already sat in the seat and "drove" it a few miles......
