Foose's new 'Madonna' car
My new (May) Street Rodder magazine just arrived about 15 minutes ago. On the cover and inside is Chip Foose's latest, called P32. OHMIGOD !!! The grill looks like it was modeled by Madonna in her pointy bra.
I do like (mostly) the rest of the car though.

Foose is over rated. Doubt Madonna will ever see the car. The car like that looks stupid.....Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 03-13-2008 at 02:57 PM.

Really not too crazy about the look of the car, nor Madonna.--However, giving the devil their due, she is a great singer in my opinion.Old guy hot rodder

Maybe I am biased....I like old planes. He is doing something new and different to a '32. Those are hard to improve upon.

I see rods and customs as "rolling art", and a way to do something unique. I know others like them within a very narrow range of allowable modifications. I'm just tired of "rubber stamp" hot rods, painted red-black-yellow with pintripes-flames-scallops, Torquethrust-Halibrand-steel wheels, and a flathead-SBC.
With the recent use of aircraft seats, bare metal finishes, and a post WWII flavor, this car seems right in step with some of the trends. At least I would take a picture of it!

One of the more fascinating aspects of this car is the steering arrangement. What look like radius rods in the pic are actually drag links, one on each side, connected to a bell crank arrangement under the front floor. Very nifty!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I got my Street Rodder yesterday... Interesting article and, for sure, it's not just another (yawn) Deuce hiboy. I think the grille is doofy looking, but I pretty much like everything else. It does need a paint job, though...Jim
