    geezer tools needed

I finally got into the garage and started on the fiero again .I raised the car higher off the ground so I could get under it easier. So I slid under the car on my creeper, drilled out the 4 bolts I broke off last fall.Maybe I can now put the sway bar bushings on.I started to slide out when the creeper wheels stuck and flipped sideways ,leaving me on the ground.Being 69 yrs old its a tough spot to be stuck in.Is there a clapper.or a call button "Ive fallen and cant get up?there must be a creeper for geezers that the wheels dont stick.or maybe a tool to get get you out and up for us older guys. come on inventers, help us out. phil the geezer

First thing you probably need is a Kwik Lift. A lot safer than jack stands and gets the car about 24 inches off of the floor, with plenty of room to maneuver underneath. Not real cheap at about $1k, but cheaper than a funeral.

As for calling someone in your house get a pair of small walkie talkies and leave one on in the house where it can be readily heard. If no one is home, take a cell phone with you when working under the car. I use a bluetooth phone with a bluetooth head set. I can just push a button on the ear unit and tell the phone who to call, without having to touch the phone. Phone does have to be within 30 feet of where you are.

As for creepers, Sears sells a couple with either inline wheels or covered wheels for less than $100.

It's like I always say, "I have a young race horse's desire/drive, but I'm trapped in a plow horse's body ready for the glue factory!" At least your get up and go has not got up and went!!!!!!! Perhaps that is why you were wanting a call button or a clapper to make sure you will be able to get up and go when you want to. Happy rodding
