I just switched from insight to comcast in a hostel takeover. never had a problem with insight, but this comcast crap is not working for me. And its like pulling teeth to get any help with it. Spent the better part of the day trying to get it going, im now on hold with a live chat sometime tonite. called the 1-800 number, its not a working number.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

I have Comcast too and no real problems so far, had them for about 3 years now. Maybe it is just the initial switchover problems you are having.
But at least they DO speak English when you call like Bobby said.

I think Comcast depends on where you are - our daughter outside of Richmond, VA has them - horrible service. I took them 3 tries to get her cable TV AND internet service working just so-so. After they left it still took a 12 year old neighbor kid to get it fixed right.
My service is Time Warner/Earthlink which so far have been great. My house was originally wired with too light coax cable for HDTV and internet - they came in and rewired the entire house, starting at the telephone pole connection and best of all, at no cost to me. While I don't have their VOIP phone service, am about ready after just paying my ridiculously high Verizon billDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

I have comcast, had it for years, they come to my house to try to get mine to work right every 3-6 months, It's crap! They will be here wensday to work on it again! They have tried everything there is, but they will be here again, to fix it again, this time would be nice if it worked right, but they will be back again, to tell me everything is working right, but they don't know why it %&$*@ up all the time!
But, I "usually" can understand them, and will make apointment come out to try to fix it anytime I call.

I've had Mediacom for the past 4 or 5 years and it's pretty reliable. The one time it went down it was due to faulty splitter. The TV's were working fine and once the repairman figured out that signal strength was low coming into the house he changed the splitter and I haven't had any problems since.Ken Thomas

Imagine That, comcast showed up a day early! They did their usual stuff, then said, Your signal from the pole to the house is the problem! There were 3 of them this time, it's been 2 the last few times, But like all times before, They Fixed it!!! Ya, right, we'll see.
So for now I guees it works again.
