Try our price's, £5.00=$9.95. I'm in the middle of a 32 three window coupe
build with 350 Chevy power and TH3550 3 speed auto, that's a hell of a
lot of fuel and a hell of a lot of £££££££££££££££££.

KICKSY,
From what some of the people that I post with over there tell me your taxes make up the majority of your fuel price. If we had the same tax rate here, our prices would be right there with your. Which brings me to another point. The Republic of California is thinking about adding another 10 to 25 cent per gallon tax to gasoline because the highways are so bad. That won't help as it will go straight into their pockets just like all the rest of the taxes do.

down here i new zealand its hovering around $1.90 NZD for 96 octane, slightly more for 98 octane and slightly less for 91 octane per litre. it doesnt bother me much, my impala with stock 283 and 3.36 gears a few years ago would take about $70 to go from Blenheim to Christchurch here which is 311 kilometres, about 200 miles and with prices now and the big block and 3.0 gears in the same car its only $100 for the same trip nursing the loud button, lookin at it that way it doesnt seem so bad. hotrods and old tin here are mostly hobby cars only driven on weekends so a weekends gas every now and then when ya take it out isnt so bad. no ones cars mileage has changed aye it just costs more to put the gas in, if i myself was concerned about fuel prices id own a scooter or rice rocket but yea its gettin worse here, the government wants to add another 40c per litre tax on aswell and we're already taxed on it! AND paying tax and road user charges on our rego

Just for the record, one US gallon = 4 quarts and 1 quart = 0.946 Liters. So
($1.90 NZD/Liter) x (0.946 Liter/quart) x (4 qt/gallon) = $7.19 NZD/US gallon
but I do not know the exchange rate for $NZD to $USD.

$3.69 reg, $3.95 premium. Looks like it's going to get ugly. Might have to confine myself to doing laps around the yard.
Street rod fuel ain't the problem because they get limited use. But the daily driver needs 3 fill ups each week just to get to work and back. That's were the hurt is.Bob

One Hundred miles (100) roundtrip daily, 5 days each week for work. Then shopping on the weekend (got to go to keep the wife in check)
Overall about 550 to 600 miles per week in my daily driver (AWD Subaru). Then on weekends, if I'm lucky I get to take out my old cars with the thirsty appetities (one at 8 mpg and the other at 10 mpg - both on a diet of premium fuels).Bob

Thats a good one! At least I don't drive 600 miles a week. If I did I would need a second job to pay the gas!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Between BP and Shell I'm starting to get little special offers that read "for our best customers"... That's not an honor I ever wanted.
But there is relief in sight. I can reduce my mileage and time in the car by half, by driving to the light rail station and taking the light rail train to work. I go right past it daily, but have never used it before because it's much slower than by car (about 1 hr for an otherwise 30 min. drive). But due to my employment I can ride FREE, so I'm thinking that now is the time to make the switch. Less gas, less wear and tear on the car, plus lower insurance. Sounds like a plan to me.Bob

It’s hard to believe that gas prices have gotten to this point. My wife filled up this morning at $3.69 plus the .9 why don't they just call it $3.70. Just two days ago it was $3.45 .9
I gave our gasman a credit card check this morning for $2,482.32 for 1200 gallons of propane. I have two companies’ tanks sitting on our property trying to get the best deal. Now if the other company wants to keep their tank here they will have to give me a good deal. 1200 gallons will not get us through the winter and we can't get a good lock in price so we have to put the money in the tanks over the summer so we can try to make it through the winter with out paying higher prices. Who knows where it will go from here I'm sure it will not go down. If I only lived in the sunshine state, I could be like the hippies and sleep in the park.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
