I even went to check those sites yesterday. No word on them about Club HotRod. When I saw the name was available, I almost left the internet for good. I still have been having issues today though, page time out and then the server just not responding at all.

    Don,

Not sure what to tell you or anyone else that reads this thread. If they feel frustrated by having to deal with the glitches, just imagine how Brent must feel, as he has a small child at home, a full time job, and has to deal with the server(s) and the forums in what little spare time he has. If someone wants to leave just because of a few glitches here or there, was that person really interested in this web forum in the first place? Some people will sit and take advantage of situations like this via PM, telling you about another forum that is clean and worry free that they are promoting, you have to ask yourself why is this person doing so and what could be his(her) motives at that time. When we had an issue two years ago, we had a flurry of PM's with someone doing just that, he had his motives and we knew them well. Slowly people left, slowly people came back, why, simple, because the other site was just not the same. This site is not in competition with anyone else, it's owners and moderator(s) do not go out and self promote, again ask yourself why? As for me personally, I lurk elsewhere, I do not PM people trying to lure them away from the sites they are on, nor would I feel morally right if I even thought about doing so, just the way I was brought up. Again I'm rambling on, but keep in mind I too work a full time job (actually 82 hours a week right now, two full time jobs if you want to think about it that way), have a child and a loving wife at home
, yet still find time to keep this site coherent and spam free (it's what you don't see that is really scary).....Well, that is it for me, it's a little after 6pm and I'm actually going to get out of the shop before 8pm......In closing, each and every end user must decide for himself (herself) whether it's worth it to stay, in my case, I'm here and will remain so as long as I can type on the keyboard, for others they may decide to move on, for most I would think that a little hiccup every now and then (most lately caused by purposeful DOS attacks from abroad) is no cause to bail on the forum. Once again, it's up to you as the individual end user(s) to decide......

    Have a good evening all.

    Sincerely,

    Bill S.
