I started on another rod site, but after I found this one, with all the friendly, helpful, and non-critical guys and gals, this one became my home. I still hit a couple of others for a quick scroll, but do it first, and end up lurking around here. This site is the greatest!Leo

You guys seem to have a good little community of like minded individuals on here,,you all seem to support each other and that is why I have got onto this site.I am a member of another forum,and we have a small minority of guys who are actually members of another US based forum who think it is their divine right to rubbish anything but a certain style of car,
,and reserve the right to belittle who ever they want to.This includes picking the shows and rod runs apart,and the prize winners,although some of them never even went to them...
Yes,I still lurk there,but that is about all now,,and yes,there are some damn nice people on that forum.Through our displays at various swap meets,we have made some good friends.That is a plus. But,this place feels good,I am stayin.

I'll come out of lurking for just a bit to tell you that I too enjoy being here. I've had tons of people PM me over the years on other sites (HAMB, etc) telling me to check out this or that. This site is one of the few that I still lurk at, as the others just seems to be a little self serving, or the members are a bit too lickish or chummy, or downrite nasty and abusive. I'm certain that most of the members here know which other sites I am discussing, so I shall not name any of the smaller lesser known ones here for obvious reasons. Do not want to start a forum war because it does more harm than good and is really a waste of my adult time if you know what I mean.
Ok, back to lurk mode everyone have a great weekend and thanks again for a great forum.
