    The Photoshop/Art Showcase thread

With a number of threads requesting photoshop assistance of late, I thought it might be agood idea to have a separate thread for those of us who have a keen interest in photoshop to show off our works, without getting other threads off topic.

So here it is! I want to see those photoshop masterpieces, and works of art.

Here's a work in progress I've been mucking about with recently, just something basic. I started with a fou door Mk2 Cortina Estate as the base, and have so far turned it into a two door sedan delivery sort of thing, with the rear panelled up.

The first pic is the original, and the second is my edit, click the thumbnail to enlarge, and let me know what you think!

I was in the middle of doing this for you, when my computer crashed, and I lost it all, so I gave up, but Denny's done it for you anyway. If you have some better quality digital photos of the Monte Carlo, post them, because they're better to work with, and don't limit it to side shots either, you can see a lot more from a front 3/4 shot or similar!

I decided I should have another go, and this is what I came up with. I started from scratch with the original image.

I took it a little bit further and fixed the paint and sprayed it black, shaved the doorhandles, removed the side trims from the doors, and the lights from the front and rear quarter panels. At this point it was looking like something fit for the mafia, so I tinted the glass for even more of a mobster look.

Then I sort of steered away from that a bit and grafted in some big tyres and Convo Pros for a pro street look. I also recoloured the inner guards and darkened the shadow.

I also did a blown version to continue the pro street theme.

    Here they are:
    Standard

    Blown

The paint is a bit rough because of the low image quality, and the fact that black is hard to create to a realistic standard. Everything else is fairly good though, thanks to the use of some high quality pictures for the donated parts.

This is the best I could do for a cowl scoop, it was hard to find one on the right angle, but I managed to distort and cut one up to a reasonable angle. It's a bit hard to see the detail, so it looks pretty unrealistic, but you get the idea.

How about some billet wheels? Too much? Looks a bit pimpy I think.
