Ive never had a problem with police, and i look like a hoodlem!

I cracked the windshield in my falcon once, and me being lazy did not fix it for almost a year. Needless to say i got pulled over a bunch for it, but all the cops were cool except one. I would just play dumb, and use the excuse that it was next to impossible to find a windshield for a car that old, and the ones that did not know any better let me go, and all the car guys would tell me where to get one, then let me go.

And cops are just as nervoes as we are! They have no clue what is waiting for them in the car they just stopped. I have found the best thing to do when pulled over is Turn the car off, then toss your keys on the dash where tha approaching officer can see them, then put both hands on the top of the steering wheel. When the officer asks for your info, explain where it is located, so he know why you are reaching there. This has always worked in my favor, and it helps relieve the cop in turn making him nicer.

I had a Sheriff tell me one time "those Cape Coral Police have no sense of humor." He was on his way to work one morning and one of his headlights burned out when he turned them on. He was pulled over by a Cape cop and issued a warning! He said he was in full uniform and all.

    So much for professional courtesy.

What happened to your wife, under any circumstance I would say that was uncalled for. My brother that passed away from cancer recently, A few years ago had his teeth knocked out plus some broken ribs. After the trip to the hospital he had to do a bit of time in jail. I'm addicted to cars my brother was addicted to alcohol, I don't think even if he was drunk which he wasn’t, he didn't deserve having his teeth knocked out plus the ribs. No matter what line of work you are in there will always be bullies who love to beat on people. I tired to intervene at my job site when a Police Officer followed a guy driving a company truck on the job site. The Officer was getting over jealous and the guy tried pulling away when the Officer grabbed him. The Officer pulled his club and was beating this guy pretty bad while everyone on the job site was just watching. I thought the Officer was going to kill him so I thought I would do my civil duty and get involved, I told the Police Officer to stop or he was going to kill the guy. The Officer told me to back off or I would be in big trouble. I kept a safe distance but tried to get him to stop beating the guy. The story goes on but I will cut it short this was 1988 times were not as bad as they are now but it was uncalled for. There are good and bad in everything.

I will say we do need good Police Officer's.

i agree we do need good police richard but in my experiance i have never met any , although i will state that sence i moved to the country and left my rowdy and sorted past behind things have changed for the better and now i have zero problems with the cops , i will admit most of my troubles were created by me and my associates but never had anything to do with my family ...

I use to clean cop cars at night in the mid 70's (Use to race with them in the middle of the night, they always lost), We have had 2 cops doing programming for us, 1 robbed us, 1 worked full time for us and part time as a cop of 12yrs, My uncle is a captain, my brother boards the St Paul Mounted police, he use to board the Mlps mounted police also. I have dealt with every type of cop you can think of, Some that I would like to hit in the mouth with a 2x4, and some dumber than a box of rocks, and some are the nicest guys, One (JB) has come over and look at my cars, and I see him at "Back to the 50's", and he showed up when a guy I knew tried to say I had a drug house, the cop told us, that he knew the other guy was the drug guy, not us. He was mad because we fired him from working on the house.

You want to see something funny, the cops learned how to ride horses right out the front door of the shop.
