Anything I get like that I send to spoof@paypal.com and they take care of it. I get them from time to time and never click on any of the links they provide.Ken Thomas

I got an email with an official Ebay looking logo telling me my account was suspended and that I couldn't buy or sell until I updated my info. They wanted my bank and other info. That was back when I was even more computer naive than I am now, so I filled it out. Then friends told me it was a scam, so I had to go in and change all my passwords, etc.

Whenever I get one of those bogus emails, my Earthlink will put it in the Suspected E-Mail bin - simply because the email address is not in my 'official' address book. I'll always dump it then go to EBay or PayPal to see if I really do have a message - if not, the bogus one was dumped anyhow so not to worry. If I do, then I'll take action.Dave W

Ebay & Paypal will ALWAYS!!! use your name and sent a copy to your messages at their site, EVERY time!
In doubt about it, delete it and read it on their site.
I get about one week from one or the other.

I talked to someone at Ebay about these last year. They told me that when you get these, delete them without opening them and go to the Paypal or Ebay website via your normal route. If there are any notices about your account, they will be there.
