Bart, can I come out of hiding now? I told my wife to watch for a really nice looking 37 Chevy pickup truck coming in the driveway at a high rate of speed. He may be coming to kick my butt!! Keep the sprits up.

Ha , you can come out now. My fighting days are done and even though I still try to work out on a speed bag, at 64, my reflexes are not like they were when I was 22 and a pro boxer.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Thanks Bart, I hope you get way better.
At an early age I did a little boxing didn’t go to far, my brother in-law was a heavy weight, he worked with me a little but he wanted me to be able to take a punch before giving one. I just didn't understand that way of thinking. I went to a gym at around 15 I learnt how to do the rope. My arms are to bad for the speed bag, I liked using it though. Last year I thought I would see if I could still do it, I was surprised it's like riding a bike. I taught my oldest grandson to use the rope, and he has gotten pretty good. I told my back Dr. that as bad as my back is I was surprised I could do it. The Dr. just said motion is lotion.

When I was 35, my leg right leg started hurting. Over the course of a year, I went to 5 doctors and no one could tell me what was wrong. I tried a foot doctor and based on my symptoms, she told me I needed a cardiovascular surgeon. I went back to my regular doctor and demanded to see the cardio surgeon.
Turns out I needed a bypass in my right knee. All those idiot doctors with their tests and it took a foot doctor to tell me what was wrong. After the operation, the doctor wanted me to retire. I told him I would shoot him if he didn't sign me on. He warned me my leg would never be the same.
Before the surgery, I was squatting 185#. Now I'm upto 485# at 57 years old. Just goes to show what doctors know.......

You are lucky someone caught it. That is really good that's a big difference in weight. Must be all of that sunshine.
The body can adjust little, by little if you work at it. I started jumping rope with the grandson but it didn't take long to wear out the ropes. I started using cords cut off from my wife's vacuum cleaner, or an old extension cord. You get up to 130 fast jumps and it gets a sweat going plus the heart rate. I had to stop but I hope I can get it going again. I will have to start all over again. If I live a little longer I'll be 62
