Where to and not to buy GAS !!!
WHERE TO BUY AMERICAN GASOLINE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON.
Gas rationing in the 70's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even have been good for us!
Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products?
Shouldn't we return the favor? Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings? How about leaving American Dollars in America and reduce the import/export deficit?
An appealing remedy might be to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up your car you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just purchase gas from companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill up my tank, I'm sending my money to people who I get the impression want me, my family and my friends dead. Don't you think it might be of interest to know which oil companies import Middle Eastern oil and which do not?
These companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell................................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.................. 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil....................... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway............ 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................................ 62,231,000 barrels
And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez who hates America and openly avows our economic destruction! (We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!)
The U.S. Currently imports 5,517,000 barrels of crude oil per day from OPEC. If you do the math at $95 per barrel, that's over $524 million PER DAY ($191 BILLION per year!) handed over to OPEC, many of whose members are our confirmed enemies!!!!!
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Sunoco....................... 0 barrels
Conoco....................... 0 barrels
Sinclair....................... 0 barrels
BP / Phillips................ 0 barrels
Hess. ........................ 0 barrels
ARC0 ....................... 0 barrels
Maverick...................... 0 barrels
Flying J. ..................... 0 barrels
Valero.......................... 0 barrels
• I AM GOING TO ADD THE FOLLOWING… J
• Murphy Oil USA sold at Wal-Mart is from South Arkansas and owned USA
• Not only that they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens.
All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
But to have a real impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. With the help of the Internet, it's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point....keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at only ten more (30 x 10 = 300)....and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)....and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!!!!!!!
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it....THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE-the entire population of the United States of America!!!!
Again, all you have to do is forward this message to 10 people. How long would that really take you? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people, within one day all 300 MILLION people could theoretically be contacted during the next eight days!

Any oil company that we decide to boycott will just sell it to the other companies that we decide to buy their gas from.....still at a profit........because, they will need more.....
It's a no win scheme boys...........Best thing to do is for EVERYONE to buy.....NO GAS.....and we know that's not going to happen.Home Handyman Forum

Yeah we still burn X amount, the companies that don't import would be forced too import. Just thought some of you might like these facts. At least we know what companies are and are not importing.

Poncho is right....all of the major oil producers sell to the world market. It is just like electricity....everyone in the US is on the grid so the power that you consume might be generated several thousand miles from you. For oil, the price is set by a world market and, if you refuse to buy oil made in xx, the demand is picked up somewhere else. It's a neat idea to boycott but it doesnt hurt the producer one bit.
One gripe of mine is people calling President Bush "a big oil man" suggesting that he is associated (by ownership) with oil producers (like Shell). President Bush was/is in the exploration business....hardly producing oil.
Another misconception is that the oil companies are the highest profit corporations in the US....oil companies average about 7%-8% profit for the recent data available....far less than some banks that hit 20%. However, the profit number seem big because 7% of a zillion dollars is a big amount.

It would be nice though if those so called servants of ours in Congress would get off their duffs, reign in the EPA, ignore the green weenies and tree huggers and support building some new refineries and drilling in Alaska. They'd probably have to get Al Gore's permission though.Ken Thomas

I had the answer to the high cost of the oil problem but it was getting late and I got confused about gas, and heavy people. I deleted the solution. Oh well maybe someone can do a telepathic reading while I go to sleep tonight. I hope so because it was right there then I lost it.

Conoco, Phillips, and 76 are the same company...
BP bought ARCO in 2000... These companies still import no oil at this time.
This country has enough oil supply to last 200~300 years at current consumption rates, if we would just produce and refine it. I think our government wants to run the middle east out of oil before we use our own.Our race team page

Thats probably what they want to do, but then the government will just sell it to all the other countries for more money anyway and claim there's a shortage and keep raising the prices here. You just can't win.

Just stating a fact.....Canada sells the US more oil than any mid eastern country........I know, it's still foreign, but at least the terrorists aren't benefiting from it.....That I know of anyways........
Personally, I wish we wouldn't sell all our oil to you guys....we are paying over $5 gallon now....and it's our damn oil..........That's how bright our government is.................Home Handyman Forum
