Thread: New buddy joining the line up!

Pretzel has been lonely since his visit with two buddies down south while we attended my sister in law's wedding. So my wife spyed Tiva at the animal shelter, and just had to have her. We let pretzel play with her for quite a while and they got on fabulously, so she came home with us today. The former owner was caught and arrested while driving a stolen vehicle. Poor Tiva (short for sativa - these guys were pot heads) was neglected, had mange, and infections, so the shelter treatwed her for 2 months with antibiotics. She's happy now. We just need to come up with a name that she'll respond to that doesn't sound drugy!

Another one saved............good job. Pretzel looks happy to have a romp-buddy too.

Yep, pets get lonely too even though they have us for company. It is good for them to have a buddy to wrestle with when we are too tired to play. Dan's cat Chewy was really happy to see Lucky join the family. At about 3 am every night I hear them tearing through the house like a couple of wild horses, wrestling around in my bathroom. His female cat has gotten older and doesn't like to play much any more, so these two are best friends.

My dog Pepper has a play date every afternoon during the week with the neighbor's Shepherd pup.... Pepper is a Cocker Spaniel and the two of them play very nice.... But then Pepper also plays with two cats that roam the 'hood and my bird.... He's also become a world class shop mutt and takes all his naps in bucket seat from a Mini-van, sits on my desk, and has trained everyone who comes to visit to give him a treat!!!!!! He also drinks his iced tea from a cup, but doesn't like coffee..... and some folks have the audacity to tell me he's spoiled!!!!!!

I have a couple of dogs living with me that I take everywhere I go, but every once in a while I have to leave them at home. This is absolutely unacceptable to my dog Caeser. Here's a little video about what he thinks about being stuck at home. You'll notice that I just finished repairing the drywall and ya might even hear my other dog Dio running away cause he knows there's trouble. I left the video camera running after I went out, this was 5 min later.

Always nice to see a critter rescued and loved.

Good looking dogs! I love to hear stories about rescued dogs going to good homes. All four of my dogs and my three barn cats are rescued animals. Good luck with her!

How bout Diva instead of tiva? Sounds pretty much the same....

I'll toss Diva out to the wife and see what she thinks! But I have to tell you she's pretty low mantenance and sweet to have Diva for a label!
I also love hearing of others who go to rescues and animal shelters for their pets. There are just alot of great animals out there already just needing a good home! Thanks, Steve

Yeah, there are so many great dogs just waiting to be saved! Wish I could get more! But these guys are already eating me out of house and home!!

Nice looking bunch of dogs t42! All happy too! If we could just harness the methane from pretzel, then we would never pay a gas bill again!
