I've been a member of this forum for a few years now and have yet to see one post by Tech or Denny that wasn't right on the money. We all have our opinions as to how some problem should be addressed, and they may be different from another person's solution, but that doesn't make it wrong. There have been times I have given some advice and had it countered by someone else, that is just how it goes in this hobby..........everybody is an "expert" ( )
It became apparent to me early on that there were some members of this forum whose advice came from real, hands on experience. On issues like engine building and subjects like that I always defer to their superior knowledge. Denny was one of those people as is Richard (Tech). They know their stuff and freely give assistance from their heart to try to help people out. There is no personal gain for them to do these acts of kindness, simply the satisfaction of knowing they have kept someone out of trouble or saved them some money.
I too hope Denny returns. I know he gets a little upset sometimes, but hell, so do the rest of us, including me. But there is no denying he has enriched this forum for a long time, as has Richard and many other members.

That being said if those who join over there do so of their own volition that's the the way the world turns.
This site started from nothing over 7 years ago. Through the efforts of a few pioneers it built to a thriving level. It has survived the defection of a goodly number of people, some who contributed value, some who didn't. No single person will make or break a site (well other than the one who is responsible for maintaining a stable and functional platform). It did well before Denny joined, it can, and should, after his departure. Again if Denny decides to return fine, otherwise others will step in to fill whatever gap is left, if any. Either way may he live well.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

If it were traitorous to belong to more than one site, then I would have been dead along time now. Denny is currently on another site (or more) and thus far he must be enjoying his time there, otherwise I am sure he would be back here.
I started out on another site, one that may not be known by many here, although several here have recently joined over there too. I still visit there periodically. I have found that I, as well as many others, have enough depth that we can spread good words to others at different sites. It helps broaden the knowledge and ability of many in this hobby.
If Denny were to return here, I would certainly welcome it. If not, I will talk with him elsewhere.Last edited by mopar34; 05-28-2008 at 09:54 AM.

Yep, I am on about 5 forums altogether, ranging from rat rods to T buckets, and enjoy every one of them. Some of the guys on those forums cross over to other forums and some do not, but I consider most of them good friends even though we probably will never get to meet one another in person. I even lurk on one that I will probably never post on.
It is no different from life, we all have different groups of friends we socialize with, but it doesn't mean we are being disloyal to the others by having a separate group of friends elsewhere.

Up till a couple of weeks ago, I had never logged in without DennyW being on the site....he must have stayed logged in 24/7. When he left, I thought my monitor had broken.
