Contacting Gene Snow
Since 1992 I've owned a 1929 roadster built for and owned by Gene Snow in the mid-80's, according to DMV records. From several dash tags, I know that this car attended several Street Rod Nationals, and it was also pictured in Street Rodder magazine at a Houston Autorama (?) during that period.
I was recently trying to find a way to contact Snow (I didn't buy the car from him) to learn more about who built the car, and any other car-related history when I learned of his personal and legal problems. I am still interested in contacting him regarding the car and if anyone can provide any help in doing so, I'd appreciate it.

Ah, you might have a little trouble contacting Gene. I think he is doing some time?

I gathered that he was on probation for three years.

From the article it doesn't appear to me that he would be hard to find. Probably hiding out at his shop in Tarrant County. Check the internet phone pages to see if they have a listing, if so, give him a call. Might help if you disquise your voice to sound like a young boy.
If you have a slight build and a baby face, it might be advisable to stay out of that area of Texas.Bob

Gene was a plenty big name "way back when". He built and drove some very good cars in several classes.
I don't know whether or not he is in the slammer as we speak, but if you're seriously interested in getting in touch with him you might try something that worked for me.
A friend of mine in Fort Worth committed a pretty grave "indiscretion" a few years back and was a guest at the Texas State Penitentiary for three or four years.
Prior to the time that he was sent up we had discussed the possibility of going into business together. At this point I might say that his offense had nothing to do with honesty or trustworthiness (or sex either, for that matter) but I wanted to correspond with him and I had a heck of a time finding somebody who could tell me how to do so. Finally I called the parole/probation office at the Tarrant County Court House and a very nice lady gave me a mailing address for him.
If you want me to, send me a PM and I'll get you an address and/or phone number for that office.
If Gene is paroled at this time, for reasons of privacy they may be hesitant to give you a contact for him. But ..... maybe they'll give him a message for you the next time he comes in for a "chat". Could be that he'll get in touch with you. Who knows?
Good luck,

If you know what state he was arrested in , you can go to the state department of corrections and do an inmate search. It`s all public record, so they cannot hide info about it, you just have to search a little.

Not Gene Snow....
.....But...I had an employee who was granted visitation with his children on these stipulations; One visit per month, no longer than two hours, during day-light hours and with adult supervision. Strange, strange boy
Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
