Let the church say "AMEN." I like 'em all, with the exception of tuners, but even those you have to appreciate the work those guys put into them. Plus they do seem to attract a slew of bikini clad young women, so they're not all bad to look at. Hey Geezer2, nice big block Caddy!

I think I'll fire up the roadster and go up to Home Despair for a small load of lumber.
May take a bit of driving around to get there though....C9

Snobs, no snobs, high dollar, low buck, if that's all some people had to worry about what a difference it would be in their life.
Check out the Goodguys Indy thread, which should have been Hot Rodder has over come disability. Then think twice if you think it makes a difference what other people think of your pride and joy.

Yeah, the tuner shows are great if you turn the sound off.

i completely agree with you dave w. my car may not look the best or be the fastest but is is totally MINE. I have done every piece of work on it since i got it. the one and only show that i have taken it too had one guy out of 20 tell my son that i ruined my car because i painted it flat black. and what was i trying to do.... turn it into a ratrod. I was ready to fight but charlie who is only 14 handled it better than i could. he asked the guy what he had done to his perfect looking gasser. the guy muttered some stuff to charlie about how much he has paid for different things done to his car. charlie said that my car might not look as good as his but i did it on a limited budget and all by myself. i have thought about it alot since then. I am sure that i will see the guy again at the next show on the 20th. I decided to compliment him on his car and walk away. I love all cars. some more than others. I have never ever uttered a unkind word to anyone about their car. i just wish more adults are as mature as my 14 year old. I have figured out that most car owners come in 2 catorgries. purist and artist. the purist greatest thrill is finding the exact match too make their cars original. the artist take a original or close too it and make it their own. both groups are great for car shows and that is what makes it worth going.Last edited by jyardgirl; 06-10-2008 at 12:14 PM.

Wow! Sounds like someone has been lurking at some of the "purist" forums. Man, you need to hang out here more and stay away from those other sites. Most of the people here share your same opinions and views on cars in general, regardless of whether they are streetrods, hotrods, glitterrods, trads, trailer queens or whatever.
We try to respect one another and the ponies we ride. If you don't like someone's ride you have two choices. You smile and keep it to yourself, or you can step up and tell the owner what you think. If you choose the latter, just be prepared to accept what might be coming next.Bob
