Father's Day
As a father, I just want to wish all of the members here who are father's a Happy Father's Day, and hope that you have the opportunity to enjoy it in some way with your children.
Some of us are lucky to have them still with us each and everyday, while others may only see them infrequently. Also, if you are lucky enough to still have your father, let him know. Mine passed away nearly 40 years ago, yet I still have many wonderful memories that I dwell on from time to time about him. I wish I could still tell him how much I appreciated his attentions to me and the lessons I learned.Bob

Same to you Bob, and to every Father out there. I too lost my Dad when I was only about 11, and miss having him in my life.
Hope all of you enjoy your day.

Ditto on the sentiments although it will be a mixed day for me. My oldest daughter, who's returning from Iraq, won't make it for today but hopefully she'll be here in time for her youngest sister's wedding this coming Saturday.Ken Thomas

Happy Fathers Day
One more week and she will be safe, that’s great. My Niece came back almost 5 years ago from Iraq, I can still remember hugging her all teary eyed and thanking God she made it home safe.

Happy Fathers Day! NTFDAY- I'm happy to hear she will be back soon! I just talked with my brother Pete Friday night. He got back from Iraq on Monday. Sounded pretty tired, but he was just coming home from a Seattle Mariner's game with his daughter, which I bet they both remeber for a long time to come!
Richard I know how you felt. The closer to my brother's arrival home the more worried I got for his safety! I'm just glad to have him back. He's the one who got me into cars in the first place. Let me work on the body work on his 68 Firebird in high school! Our Dad left us when we were kids, so my oldest brother was sort of a Father figure to my other brother and I.
I had the rare treat to have my birthday on Fathers day this year. We have no children, but I got a happy fathers day lick from Pretzel and Teva!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

This should be a great day for everyone that has someone that they love and admire. I too had an older brother that got me into cars just from seeing how he love them. Unfortunately he was killed by a drunk driver many years ago but I still feel he is with me in sprit. In a way he is like James, Dean he never gets older he was 27 years. I’m so happy your brother is back home safe, and tell him from all of us Happy Fathers Day. Since you adopted your Dogs, you’re like their adopted father.
Happy Birthday Steve

Yes happy fathers day to all. My dad is on a different time zone than me and always calls after I am in bed. But I seldom tell him what time it is here, I just talk. I got up at the crack of dawn this morning and said, Im waking him up for once. Not a chance, he was already up and drinking coffee. So at least I started his day off right bright and early.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
