This boy uses some serious electricity....I guess he's "entitled" to it since he is better than us.

just another flippin' hypocritical politician who wants to legislate what he feels is best for us so that he can continue to live the lifestyle he's accustomed to..... Nothing appalling here, what is appalling is the number of people that actually think the idiot has the answers!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

it never ceases to amaze me that the ones who say we need to conserve energy and save the environment are also the ones who use the most energy and cause the most damage.a man's fate is a man's fate

There's a large array of politicians that don't want us to drive our hot rods, build cars in our garages, own guns, hunt, fish, ride quads, occasionally exceed the speed limit, wash parts in gasoline, sit in the front yard and drink beer, have loud exhaust, have rod runs, etc. They don't believe you should do anything that they personally don't approve of. We elected these clowns and we now sit by and don't do anything to stop them.
Soon, owning a modified vehicle will be outlawed if we don't do more than just whine....we have to support organizations that oppose these people...like SEMA, like NRA, like Texans for the Right to Whiz in the Wild (not a real organization). Support the opposition in the next election....just do something.
I'm giving money to a local Democrat (ugh) to make sure that an enviro-nazi doesnt get elected in the Democratic primary soon....gotta stop him asap. Everyone can do something to help keep what freedom we have!!

What do you bet this will never hit the mainstream news? Even if we send it to them.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

I've seen this before. Guess it's making the rounds again.
I've seen a lot of politicians come and go in my time and truly they are all quite forgetable. As I said by the the time they have reached statewide and certainly national prominance they have completely sold out to the cause of generating money for the party and their next election. They are cloned across party lines and endeavour to continue the hold on money and whatever power they can muster. When they retire most have the good taste to fade away like Truman. The last one to just fade out was probably Nixon. Since then every ex-prez thinks it's his duty to jump around pretending to be actively involved in some deal just to stay in the media limelight for that fix, blabbering about the life and times when he was king.
They really think they are men of the people in their hearts. That's how they can be so believable and sincere appearing. I'm sure they're picturing Lincoln and Madison in their minds when they begin to put forth with their spew. But the vast majority of citizens know horse biscuits when they step in them and these rubes simply become jokes.
If they don't shoot themselves in the foot and have good spin doctors and handlers they can ultimately possess vast wealth and power. They have long lost any touch with what it is to be a normal person in this country from the time they began being chauffered around decades ago and quit patronizing retail stores.
They live in seclusion consuming enormous amounts of power of all types and require huge amounts of cash to fund their fortresses of solitude, their lifestyles of travel, bodyguards and other outlays as their constituents, in many cases, exist well below acknowledged or perceived poverty levels. They are so far removed from the times when they were aldermen or local officials and had hopes for honest careers they can never relate.
They evolve into the antithesis of the thing they were at the beginning of their careers. These guys are so jaundiced as to believe they are really doing something because they have the equivilent of someone constantly whispering in their ear "you're cool caesar, the people love you, you're cool caesar, the people love you." THEY end up beleiving it!
But truly in the big picture few of them actually care about anything more than the "numbers." If Gore has never been good at politics he should open a business or something folksey instead of following the herd of speaking engagments and paid endorsements to mouth some pablum they couldn't possibly believe but need to because they still must have a hold on the power and money faction of the megaloptic DC group.
Think folksy old Al or old Bill really gives a hoot about you? Try calling their publicists and tell them you'd just like to hang out and shoot the breeze sometime cause you know they, or any politicians, are good ol boys. Seriously, you'll get a fee schedule for the time these do-gooders would spend with you. The only way they want to be in close proximity to average Joe is at a fund raiser for them.
There is nothing sadder than watching a has been in any circumstances whether politician or actor attempt to pretend to be associated with the "in crowd" when he is actually shunned by the current young Turks.
Gore falls into that category of ex-wannabes consuming enormous amounts of power and $$ in an attempt to manufacture a place for himself. In this case it's the GW "thang." If HE truly believed it he would shun the opulence of his consumtive lifestyle and live like an normal American.
The sad part is that as with all politicians it swiftly becomes a "don't do as I do, do as I say" situation. I have yet to fathom how that earns respect. There is no substitute for cubic inches

Well said Twitch, poignant and to the point. On a side note, it really amazed me when John Force jumped into the stands at the end of the race in Topeka. Something no politician would ever attempt.Ken Thomas
