Happy Birthday, Don! WOW, your birthday was almost a national holiday. If your mom could have just hung in there a little longer, everyone would be waving flags and playing Stars and Stripes Forever for you.
No matter, you're still of national importance to us anyway. Hope you have a happy one.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

Thanks everybody. Yep, only 39 (in dog years) One thing about living in Florida, no matter how old you are, you are still younger than 80 percent of the population. I appreciate the nice words.
I had a very nice surprise today. The UPS guy delivered a box from a very good friend, and it made my day. It was a Moon tank for the front of my '39!! I was blown away. I was going to buy a Speedway version because the true Moon tanks are a little pricey (actually, a LOT pricey). Never expected this, and I really am grateful to him for something so special. I couldn't wait to try it on for size, so when Dan and I went to the shop tonight I had to clamp it on to get the full effect. It makes the front of the car exactly the way I wanted it, only better. A simple little bracket will make mounting it really easy.
Thank you Ken, you have no idea how much this means to me.
Here are some pictures of how it looks up there.

Thanks guys. Since we knew Don would be playing on my Birthday, the Kids and I celebrated it on Father's Day..........but we are going to do dinner together some night in the next week.
NTFDAY.............yeah, isn't that tank the best??? Ken is one of the most generous, nicest guys out there, and I am really touched by this gift. It is going to spur me on to try to get the Dodge running for maybe Billetproof next Spring. I think it makes the truck look BAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!

Or perhaps some home brew, and run of few air conditioning coils on the underside to keep things cool! Nice Tank!!!!!!! Now if my friends could just get these kinds of gifts!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

That tank sure is a generous gift...................................but I still think my gift would draw a bigger crowd.

Probably right Bob.
Yes it is. I know it's just for looks and it really looks cool, but you could fill it with margaritas, play a little Jimmy Buffet........
Funny you should mention that NTF, I had the same thought. When I was at Billetproof a guy with a '50 Ford and I were talking, and he said "would you like a little Rum?" It was 8 oclock in the morning, so I declined. Anyway, he had a valve under his bumper that ran to a bottle inside, and he opened it up and poured himself a drink!! That Moon tank could hold 2 gallons of some pretty good stuff.

A belated happy birthday from me, too.
You could load a couple of gallons of 'shine in that tank. If the cops get nosey, just tell 'em it's alcohol injection for when you're racing. They don't need to know WHERE it's being "injected"... (in a glass with ice, tonic water, and a twist of lime)Jim

A "skip" = a dumpster.... but he says it's proper english??? Oh.. Okay. Most of us can see the dating site pun, "matching" with an arsonist.. But a "SKIP? How is that a box? It must all be...
