That would get pretty costly real soon. When we first got our computer in 97 we had dial up service. They gave us the wrong number to dial up and it was long distance. By the time we found out the first month was $1600 the next month was another $400. I called everyone and their brother but it didn't do any good. The total was over $2000 and this was in 97 the dial up Company went out of business. The dial up service was unlimited for $19.95 per month with the local number, which they didn't give us.

yea.. I don't use the internet at all on the phone now.. that little expirement was good enough reason not to... I have dialup now. 12.95 unlimated with a local dial in number. I do pay $32 for a dedicated phone line with local only service.
