Yup, after AC stopped building the AC ACE and supplying Shelby with his AC Cobra rolling chassis they decided to go long nose similar to the Ferrari and Jag of that time period and built the AC 428 (aka: AC Frua). Coupe and convertibles were made, all on stretched round tube, coil over chassis........Fun car to drive even now........Not as expensive as an original AC ACE or Cobra, but still not as inexpensive as the XKE jags.......

I would think with only 81 of them ever made and being a big block Ford that you couldn't touch one for less than the price of an Ace, or even a cobra. They even said some were cannibalized to build Cobra replicas.Last edited by willowbilly3; 07-10-2008 at 07:35 AM.
