Still alive and kickin'
Hey People, We have bought a house in the mountains, in Deer Lodge, TN. We just completely got moved in, Our little town doesn't even have a stop light, only 1 stop sign at the 1 intersection. We don't have our computors up yet, mine died, and we have no internet. We are using the in-laws for now. (70 miles down the mountain.) Will get computors up and running and will get back to you then. Sorry for the late and short note, but you all know how it is.
Bye for now,

How I envy you........what I would give to live in a small town like you. You might even find lots of old tin around those parts.

Nice to hear you got settled in. Hope the new place has a big shop space. Now that you live in the hills it gives you even more reasons to add some extra horse power to get up those hills! Steve." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Pat how far are you from Morristown? That is my old home town.Any way my personal friend's son started a car club there a while back and he is active in it.They have a cruise in every Sat.nite at the Ingles Supermarket on East Andrew Johnson Hwy.The area is big on cars and usually have a hundred or so cars show up.Goggle the Hamblen County Car Club for their web site,it's set up through Hemmings.
Where in the heck is Deer Lodge Tn? I know you will like East Tennessee.
Good LuckDon D

Sorry guys, I just found this thread, I started a new one before I found this one again, It's "Where the heck is Deer Lodge, Tn."
The only old tin I have seen is in the '60's (alot oem still driving every day) a late '30's - early '40's something coupe body & chassis, and a hand full of pick ups
We drove 3 trucks of stuff, packed to the top, put it all in storage the day we got to Maryville, then moved it al 70 miles to Deer Lodge, Tn, we are tired. We are now remodeling it from top to bottom ourselves.
I packed my computers in the back seat of the Blazer, Now mine has a corrupt system32\hal.dll., so I have a pc that my mother-inlaw gave me.
I HAVE TO! get the other going, I have to much info in it, that I can not replace, and NO! I didn't back up anything! My head hurt's from banging it on the wall!!! Wifes works perfect.
Well I have to go do some sanding in the pantry/laundry room, so we can paint it soon.

Pat; me being from that part of Tn. you would be located back in the sticks (Tn saying) and a hop and a jump from where my brother lives in Crossville. Not much traffic to deal with either.
Good Luck on the move.I really hope to get back to Tn some day to live, the area is beautiful.Don D

Yup! in the sticks. Crossville is about 30 miles west from us, we went there the other day for the fisrt time, for a ride, and to get stuff for chigger bites I have 100's of them, and I ich!!!
We might go to the flea market in Crossville tomorrow, it's supose to be a big one, every Saturday & Sunday. The longest garage sale from Oh to Ga went right by us last week, lots of neat things.
I met a guy from around here, he stopped by in his "Grave Robber", it's on the line of a '28 Ford Munsters mobile, with a sb chevy with 2x4's on a tunnel ram & 8 open 3' tall exaust stacks! I have pic's but I haven't downloaded a pic reducer of any kind yet. He stopped by tonight and bought my Trike. I had it out front with a sign on it.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
