I remember the boat version of that bike. It was basically an out board engine strapped to the equivelant of a wake board with a seat on it. Some stuff is just a little too extreme to be usefull! There was a guy who had either a v8 or twin v8 custon built motorcycle back in the 60's or early 70's, that nobody but this guy could even drive. I wish I could remember his name or the bike's name!" Several companies make motorcycles with V8's today, mostly SBC 350's. One I see mostlyis the Boss Hoss. Pretty neat, but pretty ungly too. Certainly not a sharp corner leaner. Certainly wouldn't want to be on board when the tread left the road.
Recently saw a BMW V12 drag bike. Uses the 12 cyl engine from a 750i. No end to the human imagination.Bob

I wonder what the firing order of the radial engine does to the control of that bike? Very cool looking!
This is a funky one too
And this is a very cool BMW

I just Googled E.J. Potter. He's still alive and living in michigan. There's some stuff about the "Michigan Madman" on a few sites... The V-8 bikes were just the beginning; what a character!Jim

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
