They say they found BigFoot?
LOL, ya its funny. They found him in Ca. but will only show a photo and give DNA. There was a video from a cop also a couple days ago with police car camera showing the "chupecabra". Man , this world is coming to a end,LOL.
(CNN) -- A policeman and a former corrections officer say that on Friday, they will unveil evidence of what they claim is their biggest capture ever: the body of Bigfoot.

Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, a pair of Bigfoot-hunting hobbyists from north Georgia, say they found the creature's body in a wooded area and spotted several similar creatures that were still alive.
The carcass of the furry half-man, half-ape is 7 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs more than 500 pounds, they say. However, the two are not disclosing the exact location of their discovery in order to protect the remaining creatures.
Tom Nelson, chairman of the biology department at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, said he's "pretty skeptical" the world will feast its eyes on a new species Friday.
"That would certainly rock mammalogy," joked Nelson, who specializes in the study of mammals. "I see a research grant in my future."
Whitton and Dyer plan to unveil what they say is DNA and photo evidence of the discovery in Palo Alto, California, in conjunction with a group called Searching for Bigfoot Inc.
A photograph on that group's Web site shows what appears to be the body of a large, hairy creature with an ape-like face, stuffed into a large freezer.
According to a written release, the two announced the discovery on an Internet radio show, "Squatch Detective," several weeks ago.
"The only person we would allow to come down and verify the body was 'the Real Bigfoot Hunter,' Tom Biscardi," Dyer said, referring to Searching for Bigfoot's CEO, who has been looking for the elusive, legendary creature in the United States and Canada since 1971.
Whitton is a Georgia police officer who is on administrative leave after being shot in the wrist during a pursuit. Dyer is a former prison guard.
DNA tests on the body have begun, said the statement, and "extensive scientific studies" will be done on the body by scientists, including a molecular biologist, an anthropologist and a paleontologist.
Nelson, the university professor, acknowledged that new species of animals have been discovered in recent decades and that, in science, "we always acknowledge the possibility of something new."
But he said that even in north Georgia, home to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the foot of the Appalachian Trail, it stretches the imagination to think a family of 7-foot-tall creatures could have eluded hunters, hikers and creeping development until now.
"To the average person, these places just seem like extreme wilderness where you'll find lions and tigers and bears," he said. "The reality is that you're never more than a mile from a road."
The group says the animal is male, has reddish hair and "blackish-gray" eyes and human-like feet, hands and teeth.Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 08-14-2008 at 06:47 PM.

All kidding aside, it was just a matter of time before some proof turned up. I lived in Pa and in the mid to late 70's there wasn't a night that the local paper wasn't reporting more Bigfoot sightings. I knew several people who actually saw it, and these weren't crackpots, but responsible business people........one was a good friend who was a banker. He told me he wouldn't tell most people about it because of his job and that they would think he was nuts, but he even had plaster casts of it's footprints that he showed me. I knew this guy well, and he was not the kind to fabricate any stories whatsoever.
I even drove out one night to the area where it had been seen the most and one farmer had a wheelbarrow turned upside down over some footprints to protect them. They were exactly the same prints the banker had casts of. I also talked to an older lady who had it walk right in front of her car one night, and she was still scared to death from the experience. I asked her if it could have been someone in a suit playing games, and she said no way........it was for so close to her car that she got a very good look at it.
So, maybe these guys are for real and we will find out for sure when they unveil it, supposedly today.

Hey - something has to be more fun then listening to the radio or watching the boob tube and their nightly tales of war, death, destruction, hunger and misery. Good ol' Grampa Jones song about the fact that if it wasn't for bad news, there would be none at all (shades of Hee Haw )
Supposedly the guys that reported 'bigfoot' are Georgia cops on injury administrative leave and have turned the evidence over to the "authorities". Me, I just hope it's trueDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

I read some background on these three guys and they are connected to other schemes too. That Biscardi appears to be no more an expert than any of us.
And these other 2 guys have been trying to sell some sort of bigfoot adventures for a while, doing radio talkshows and such. I think they manufactured the whole scheme to see more guided "hunts"

Saw that "chupa" thingie footage. If you want a few dozen of 'em, come up to Saskatchewan and get 'em! Only here, we just call 'em mangy coyotes. They scratch all their hair off trying to get the mange mites, and the skin goes scaly. Kills lots of them some winters. Those guys would have done the poor bugger a favour if they'da run over him.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
