    Searching for a Skilled Painter

Howdy all. I'm not a hot rod owner, but I'm looking for someone to paint panels on my motorcycle. I've asked around on motorcycle boards and my local area, but I haven't found anybody to do this job.

    Here's a mock-up of what I want to accomplish:

I rendered this in Photoshop, so I'm not even certain in can be done in paint (obviously it doesn't have to be and won't be exactly like this, but something very similar is desired). In any case, I'm posting here because I figure if anyone knows someone who can paint it, it would be hot rodders.

The bike is currently stock and I plan to purchase additional primed panels, so they could be shipped almost anywhere to get the job done, although I'd perfer someone within my region (North to Harrisburg, PA--South to Northern VA, East to York, PA or West to Chambersburg, PA...or so).

Sorry for the un-hot rod related post. Thanks in advance for any tips/leads on getting this done.

    Ben

Welcome to the forum. You won't fnd a better custom painter than Jay (hotrodpaint) on here. His work is as good as it gets. He will probably see this and post, hopefully.

I'm a former Pennsylvanian, so I wouldn't steer you wrong.

I second that advice! Top notch artist, just do some searches and you will see his work on here.

You guys are making me blush! Yes, I could do it....but I am pretty covered up right now.

I would recommend you try to do it close to home. That way, if you ever need a touch up on chips, gas damage, or (heaven forbid) road rash, it could be done a lot easier and cheaper.

Shipping has also gone up. I was shipping bike tin in the US for $60 to $80 each way, with lots of insurance going back. The last bike I did for a guy in New York state was over $200 each way!

If you aren't in a great hurry, and shipping expense is not a problem, I'd be glad to chat with ya.

If that doesn't work, go to the sister site of CHR...which is "clubchopper". Lots of painters on there....many in the eastern US. Good luck. Jay

THAT'S why you were so kind! :-)~

I'll be right over. I have to stop at Sears to get a gallon of "Easy Livin" latex, and a new mop. LOL!
